What is your professional background?
In the past four years since graduating from undergrad I have worked as a retail and office leasing broker on both the landlord and tenant side. I currently work as a real estate analyst at Movement Mortgage handling their leasing transaction for their east coast portfolio.
What motivated you to pursue this program?
My goal in enrolling in the MSRE program was to further my knowledge on the financial side of real estate transactions in order to move from the space market to the asset market in commercial real estate. I have always been interested in exciting mixed use urban infill projects and wanted to get more experience learning the developmental aspects behind these assets.
How would you describe the M.S. in Real Estate to someone who is considering pursuing this master’s degree?
As a first semester student the program has already offered me the chance to connect with like minded individuals who are working toward advancement in the commercial real estate sector. The networking opportunities afforded by the program are second to none.
