"Charlotte is a tremendous city: the growth, excitement, and palpable energy within the community make it a great place to live. "

What is your professional background?

After graduating from Clemson, I joined BB&T’s Leadership Development Program, which provided excellent education and experience in leadership, team building, and other soft skills.  Since moving to Charlotte in 2017, I have been a real estate relationship manager and banker for developers, asset managers, and investors in the region.

What are your motivations for pursuing the MSRE?

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for real estate. Having a role in creating the places where people sleep, eat, live, and work is an exciting responsibility. I chose to pursue the MSRE in order to increase my ability to help create the best projects and communities here in Charlotte and around the country.

Why did you choose the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate over other programs?

Charlotte is a tremendous city: the growth, excitement, and palpable energy within the community make it a great place to live.  I chose to further my education at the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate to fill the gaps in my professional experience with practical education and to involve myself more deeply in Charlotte’s real estate community.

What activities are you involved in when not working/studying?

Outside of work and the classroom, I like to stay active and spend as much time outdoors as possible with friends and family (I’m a regular at the Whitewater Center).  When I have a free weekend, I hope to be traveling or cheering on the Clemson Tigers!

How would you describe the M.S. in Real Estate to someone who is considering pursuing this master’s degree?

The MSRE provides a well-rounded commercial real estate education, filling in gaps that exist in your current experience and knowledge.  Through the program, not only do you have the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals, but you also gain access to the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate’s strong alumni network and unmatched community support.
